UPDATES: What's going on in the Industry?
This Week - The Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural vote on the STOCK (StopTrading On Congressional Knowledge) Act, which would ban insider trading by lawmakers. The issue gained steam after CBS's 60 Minutes aired a story about it. In his State of the Union address last week, President Obama urged lawmakers to pass the bill, saying he would sign it "tomorrow." The STOCK Act is co-sponsored by Senators Scott Brown (R-MA) and Kirsten Gillibrand, (D-NY). The House will hold a number of votes on reducing spending and reforming our budgeting process.... Attached is a letter sent by your Board of Directors to Senator Dianne Feinstein urging her to co-sponsor S. 930 in the US Senate. AS of this date, she has not taken any action on our request. AB 1953 Lead Law Information Effective January 1, 2010, the maximum allowable lead content in "lead free" pipes, pipe or plumbing fittings, fixtures, solder, or flux intended to convey or to dispense water for human consumption through drinking or cooking will be 0.2% lead in solder and flux, and 0.25% lead in wetted surfaces of pipes, pipe fittings and fixtures, and plumbing fittings and fixtures, as determined by a weighted average.
